LET’S PAINT THE SOUND!!

PRINCE WILLIAM SOUND, ALASKA THAT IS!!

Murray and Phyllis Tate are proud to offer two special 4- or 5-day private artists’ cruises in Prince William Sound aboard the 52-foot Nuliaq with renowned art instructor Vladimir Zhikhartsev. Daily classes will include demos, onboard or offshore, as well as individual help. There will also be time for exploring & fishing depending upon the desires of group.

DATES:  Trip #1: June 15 - 20 or 21, 2019    Trip #2: June 24 - 29 or 30, 2019

ITINERARY:  Arrive in Valdez on Saturday, June 15.  We will depart at 5 pm (earlier if everyone is there), have dinner and spend the night in a scenic bay on the Sound. For the next 4 or 5 days we will cruise to various bays and inlets to explore and paint the beauty of the Sound. On the 4-day trip expect to return to Valdez on Thursday morning, June 20 or for the 5-day trip on Friday morning June 21, 2019.  If someone needs to return the prior evening, we can do that, too.

Dates for the second trip will be (4 days) June 24 - 29 (morning) or (5 days) Jun 24 - 30, 2019 (return in morning). Our return schedule is flexible and depends upon the majority's wishes.

ROOM & BOARD: Two staterooms (1 w/double & single bunk and 1 w/Queen bed) with full baths.  The pilot house and salon tables can also be made into beds (1 queen & 1 king).  Artists should expect to share a stateroom and/or bed. You might want to team up with a friend who would like to make the trip with you. We provide all bedding and all meals which we try to keep light, nutritious and healthy (lots of seafood). We do serve desserts, but don't provide junk food or hard liquor.

COST:  Price for 4-day trip is $1860. per person.  The price for the 5-day trip is $2325.  A deposit of $1,000 due April 20, 2019 will reserve your space.  Balance is due upon boarding the boat. Refund is available if you cancel AND we fill your spot.

COMMUNICATIONS: Cell service throughout the Sound is spotty.  In an emergency we can go out to where a signal is available. In the bays where we anchor at night we typically do NOT have cell service.  We have plenty of outlets for charging your electronics.

REGISTRATION:  Fill out the form at the bottom of Page 2 indicating your preference and return it with your deposit.
